HELLO FROM ARGO
A newsletter from a small sailboat.
I'm Kate Golden, a writer and artist. This is a newsletter I started in 2017 to document my partner's and my misadventures in adjusting to life aboard the little yacht Argo, a stately 32-foot, 50-something Nicholson monohull. Past issues included boat porn (if you like 'em old and crusty), boat maintenance, travel notes, journalism, flotsam, jetsam, misadventures, drawings and the occasional recipe.
In 2019, HELLO FROM ARGO was semi-mothballed, because I got cancer and we had to leave Argo abruptly for the United States. Argo, as of this writing, is still stuck in New Zealand! Thanks, Covid.
In the meantime our sailing life continues — though we are not currently living aboard — and I send an occasional update when something interesting happens. You can sign up below.
